I recently traveled to Chicago for the Responsible Jewelry Conference, where I served as a mentor.
We also hosted a trunk show for our initiative, Reciprocity Jewels, at Gallery 2052, which ended November 15.
Bringing together over 15 designers using Peruvian mercury-free fairmined ecological gold, fully traceable to the miners’ names, this project proves that beautiful design and responsible practices go hand in hand. It provides a vision for what truly traceable jewelry can be.
While the Chicago show is over, this project continues. Our pieces featured at the show are available for purchase on our website, and can continue as a part of your story where you will know exactly when, where, and how your gold was mined!
I shared details on the mining process and about past editions of the show on previous blog posts here and here! You can use these links to learn exactly how the gold is mined in the most responsible way possible and why it's important.
