People often ask my opinion on diamonds, and my answer is always the same: I prefer post-consumer reclaimed, vintage natural diamonds over newly-mined or lab-grown. Not only do these stones carry so much uniqueness & romance, but they are more rare & special. Like vintage clothing, they’re the most sustainable option. But unlike clothing, it doesn’t deteriorate in quality or value over time and with use.  Natural diamonds are not subject to the wild price drops and fluctuations we’ve seen in lab-grown diamonds.

I would never recommend that you buy a stone solely as a status symbol or investment. Do so because you love it, the piece’s craftsmanship, design, & its story aligns with your values.

My favorite way to both design & wear diamonds is as an accent to a design, adding sparkle in contrast to matte metal & open space, interspersing with hammer-struck metal. Accent diamonds add layers of light reflection & visual interest to a design.
